Sometimes, I just need to go into the forest and follow the sunset through the pine trees and wildflowers until it burns down past the greenhouses towards the other side of town. Sometimes the only sound I want to hear is the rustling of the oak leaves in the wind that only gets colder as the day escapes and dusk takes over. And sometimes, all I want to feel are the pine needles matted under my feet as I chase light down the trails that take me deeper into the woods.

The model, as always, is my younger sister, indulger of my every whim.

Alstromeria, the Peruvian Lily

These photographs are from an impromptu shoot at the start of September, freefallin' towards autumn with a late-afternoon breeze and a yellow setting sun. Soon enough it'll be cold on our noses and our breath will be suspended in the air before us.

Model is Patricia, enjoying a Friday sunset at the park after a long week. The flowers are from my ethnobotany lab TA. It's going to be a good last semester. Hope you like them:
